Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients aged >=18 years who require hospitalization for treatment; (2) Patients who meet the diagnostic criteria for community-acquired pneumonia (CAP), that is, patients with new pulmonary infiltrates on chest imaging and one or more of the following signs and symptoms: body temperature >=38°C, dyspnea, cough, chest pain, malaise or fatigue, gastrointestinal symptoms, or wheezing, rales (dry or wet) or bronchial breath sounds or hemoptysis. Or pneumonia patients for whom the clinician judges that the pathogen needs to be identified; (3) The patient or his/her legal guardian has signed the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Age <18 years; (2) Suffering from other severe systemic diseases (such as severe cardiovascular diseases), which may affect the study results or patient safety; (3) The quality of sputum or BALF samples does not meet the detection requirements (such as insufficient volume of BALF samples); (4) The patient or his/her legal guardian is unwilling to cooperate with the study.
