Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Preliminary Experiment Undergraduate Sample: Right-handed; no history of neurological or psychiatric disorders; no contraindications for MRI scanning; no claustrophobia. Main Experiment Elderly Sample: Right-handed; aged 55–75 years; no history of neurological or psychiatric disorders; no contraindications for MRI scanning; no claustrophobia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Preliminary experiment undergraduate sample: Mini-Mental State Examination score 0; Mini-Mental State Examination score <= 26; Montreal Cognitive Assessment score <=22.
