Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 18 years; 2. Meet the 2007 ATS/IDSA criteria for Severe Community-Acquired Pneumonia (SCAP). Diagnostic criteria for Community-Acquired Pneumonia (CAP): According to the 2016 Chinese Guidelines for Adult CAP, diagnosis requires fulfillment of any one of the following (1), (2), or (3), after exclusion of tuberculosis, pulmonary tumors, non-infectious interstitial lung diseases, pulmonary edema, atelectasis, pulmonary embolism, pulmonary eosinophilic infiltration, and pulmonary vasculitis. (1) Community-onset; (2) Clinical manifestations of pneumonia: new-onset cough, sputum production, or worsening of pre-existing respiratory symptoms, with or without purulent sputum, chest pain, dyspnea, or hemoptysis; fever; signs of pulmonary consolidation and/or presence of crackles; peripheral blood leukocyte count >= 10*10^9/L or 30 breaths/min; PaO2/FiO2 20 mg/dL; infection-associated leukocyte count <= 4*10^9/L; platelet count <= 10*10^9/L; temperature <= 36°C; hypotension requiring fluid resuscitation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Pregnant women and lactating women; 2.Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis; 3.Malignant tumor of the lung; 4.Hospitalized outside the ICU for more than 48 hours; 5.Patients with acute liver failure and those who have been using statin drugs for a long time;
