Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Meets the above diagnostic criteria for lumbar disc herniation; 2. MRI shows giant/ruptured type herniation (Giant type: the herniated disc occupies more than 50% of the responsible segment HR or the protruding disc exceeds 50% of the sagittal diameter of the spinal canal; Ruptured type: MRI sagittal view shows the protrusion exceeds 5mm beyond the posterior edge of the vertebral body, with irregular and rough edges, and the black line at the contact point of the posterior edge of the vertebral body is interrupted); 3. Able to actively cooperate and complete clinical observation; 4. Age 18–65 years; 5. Voluntarily consents to join this study and has "signed the informed consent form," with complete imaging data preserved, and a follow-up period of more than 6 months; 6. If other manual or conservative treatments have been previously received, a washout period of more than 5 days is required.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with very severe clinical symptoms who require surgical treatment; 2. Patients with severe primary diseases of the digestive system, cardiovascular system such as hypertension or coronary heart disease, hematopoietic system, or mental illnesses; 3. Women who are breastfeeding or pregnant; 4. Patients with spinal vertebral fractures, spinal tumors, or compression symptoms caused by factors other than lumbar disc herniation; 5. Patients with poor compliance who cannot return for follow-up at this hospital, cannot undergo MRI scans, or have incomplete imaging records.
