Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged >=18 years; Diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction (meeting two or more of the following criteria): 1.History of persistent chest pain;Dynamic electrocardiographic changes;Dynamic changes in myocardial necrosis biomarkers; 2.Presence of a new holosystolic murmur audible at the left sternal border in the 3rd-4th intercostal spaces; 3.Echocardiographic confirmation of ventricular septal discontinuity with left-to-right shunt..

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients diagnosed with congenital ventricular septal defect; 2.Patients with ventricular septal rupture not attributable to acute myocardial infarction; 3.Patients who declined participation in the follow-up study.
