Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.History of neuromuscular disease; 2.Severe obesity (defined as a body mass index [BMI] greater than 35); 3.Conditions that may interfere with diaphragmatic ultrasound examinations, such as thoracic trauma, recent thoracic surgery, or severe pneumothorax; 4.Pregnancy; 5.The clinical prognosis is deemed insignificant, and the decision to forgo life-sustaining treatment is documented;

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Grip strength;

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Dynamic changes in grip strength;Incidence of persistent diaphragmatic atrophy;Adverse respiratory outcomes (reintubation rate, incidence of pneumonia, duration of mechanical ventilation, ICU length of stay);Dynamic parameters of diaphragmatic function (diaphragmatic mobility, inspiratory time, end-inspiratory thickness, end-expiratory thickness, thickening fraction, mean contraction velocity);
