Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Undergo tracheal intubation or tracheotomy; 2.Patients requiring mechanical ventilation for >=48 hours; 3.Adult patients scheduled for an initial assessment within 24 hours of extubation;
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.History of neuromuscular disease; 2.Severe obesity (defined as a body mass index [BMI] greater than 35); 3.Conditions that may interfere with diaphragmatic ultrasound examinations, such as thoracic trauma, recent thoracic surgery, or severe pneumothorax; 4.Pregnancy; 5.The clinical prognosis is deemed insignificant, and the decision to forgo life-sustaining treatment is documented;
