Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Review Section:1. Surgical patients diagnosed with middle-ear cholesteatoma by clinical, imaging (e.g., temporal-bone HRCT) and histopathological examination in the Department of Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery, Peking University First Hospital, between May 2015 and May 2025; Prospective section: 1. Patients undergoing surgery confirmed to have middle ear cholesteatoma through clinical examination, imaging studies (such as temporal bone HRCT), and pathological examination; 2. complete preoperative audiological evaluation information, such as pure tone audiometry and preoperative temporal bone CT assessment; 3. age 18-70 years;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Incomplete case data: for example, incomplete audiological evaluation, otoscopic assessment, or imaging examination.
