Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for all subjects: 1. Aged 18 years or above. 2. Patients who receive medical treatment at Affiliated Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine and have been pathologically diagnosed with esophageal cancer/precancerous lesions of the esophagus, or healthy individuals without esophageal lesions. Inclusion criteria for patients with esophageal cancer/precancerous lesions: 1. Patients who have been clearly diagnosed with esophageal cancer/precancerous lesions of the esophagus through gastroscopy, pathological biopsy, and imaging examinations (such as PET-CT, endoscopic ultrasonography, etc.). 2. Patients who have been pathologically confirmed to have esophageal cancer/malignant tumors of the esophagus are included. 3. Esophageal patients with precancerous lesions are included, including but not limited to clinically relevant precancerous lesions such as esophageal intraepithelial neoplasia and esophageal dysplasia. The pathological stages of these patients should include low-grade, moderate-grade, or high-grade dysplasia. Ensure that the diagnosis of the lesions is confirmed by experienced pathologists after multiple reviews. 4. At the same time, they should have complete clinical information (including age, gender, height, weight, smoking history, history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), family history of tumors, TNM clinical stage or pathological stage of esophageal cancer, presence or absence of pulmonary infection and its comorbidities, etc.). Inclusion criteria for the control group of non-esophageal cancer patients: 1. There is no personal history of tumors in the past. Participants should have no history of major organ diseases and no diseases that affect the physiological functions of the esophagus (such as Barrett's esophagus, esophageal ulcers, esophageal strictures, gastroesophageal reflux disease, etc.). 2. Healthy individuals undergoing physical examinations are included. There are no clinical manifestations of esophageal cancer or any esophageal lesions detected by gastroscopy, and there is no clinical evidence for the diagnosis of esophageal malignant tumors. 3. At the same time, they should have complete clinical information (including age, gender, height, weight, smoking history, history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), family history of tumors, presence or absence of pulmonary infection and its comorbidities, etc.).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who simultaneously suffer from severe systemic diseases (including severe ischemic cardiomyopathy, malignant arrhythmia, uncontrollable epilepsy, severe COPD, severe pulmonary infection, other malignant tumors, etc.). 2. Patients whose pathological biopsy of gastroscopy indicates benign esophageal tumors (such as esophageal leiomyoma, esophageal papilloma, etc.) or whose lesions are benign diseases (such as Barrett's esophagus, esophageal ulcers, esophageal strictures, gastroesophageal reflux disease, etc.). 3. Patients who have not undergone biopsy to obtain pathological results or have incomplete clinical data (the blank control group is by default pathologically negative). 4. Patients who are lost to follow-up and patients from whom it is impossible to obtain information on postoperative progression;
