Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Early pregnancy (before 12 weeks gestation); 2. Singleton pregnancy; 3. Age >= 20 years; 4. No periodontal disease diagnosed by a dentist at enrollment; 5. Undergoing prenatal care at this medical institution and planning to deliver at this facility; 6. Signing an informed consent form and voluntarily participating in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with impaired cognitive abilities who cannot independently complete this study; 2. History of habitual miscarriage or threatened miscarriage symptoms, or undergoing specialized drug therapy; 3. History of oral antibiotic use within three months prior to the oral examination; 4. Presence of other severe underlying conditions such as diabetes or hypertension; 5. Individuals who refuse oral examination and saliva sample collection.
