Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 14 years; 2. Hospitalized in the Department of Neurology at the Affiliated Provincial Hospital of Fuzhou University from 00:00 on January 1, 2019, to 24:00 on December 31, 2023; 3. The "Chief Complaint" or "Present Illness" section in the admission medical record clearly indicates that mental or behavioral abnormalities (such as "talking nonsense," "disorganized behavior," "abnormal emotions," "severe suspiciousness," "sudden memory decline," etc.) were the first, primary, or sole reason for seeking medical care; 4. The patient’s electronic medical record is complete, allowing extraction of necessary information sufficient to support clinical feature analysis and etiological judgment, including but not limited to course of disease records, nursing records, laboratory test reports, imaging reports, and discharge summaries.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. The patient has a clear history of primary psychiatric disorders diagnosed at this hospital or another hospital, and the current episode is considered a relapse or exacerbation of the existing disease; 2. Before this admission, there is a clear history of neurological diseases that may lead to chronic mental and behavioral changes (such as epilepsy, Parkinson's disease dementia, Alzheimer's disease, etc.), and the current psychiatric symptoms are largely attributed to this past medical history; 3. Key clinical information (such as missing important laboratory tests, imaging reports, or detailed course descriptions) is absent, making it impossible to effectively evaluate and classify the condition; 4. After the onset of this episode, before being transferred to our hospital's neurology department, a clear etiological diagnosis had already been obtained at other medical institutions through imaging, laboratory, or pathological examinations.
