Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Inclusion Criteria for the Depression Group (1) Meeting DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for depressive disorder and non-suicidal self-injury; (2) Montgomery-Åsberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) score >=12; (3) Age 12–22 years, either sex; (4) Confirmed history of prior depressive episode via the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI); (5) Voluntary participation with signed informed consent. 2. Inclusion Criteria for the Control Group (1) Negative screening via standardized scales with no current or past psychiatric disorder; (2) Age 12–22 years, either sex; (3) Matched to the patient group on gender and educational level; (4) Voluntary participation with signed informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Exclusion Criteria for the Depression Group (1) Presence of organic brain disease; (2) Severe physical illness, substance dependence, or psychotic symptoms; (3) History of manic episodes; (4) History of seizures or family history of seizures; (5) Intellectual disability preventing completion of assessments; (6) Current severe illness preventing completion of study tasks. 2. Exclusion Criteria for the Control Group (1) Presence of organic brain disease; (2) Severe physical illness, substance dependence, or psychotic symptoms; (3) Use of medications affecting cognitive function within the past month; (4) Alcohol or drug dependence; (5) Intellectual disability preventing completion of assessments.
