each set of movements lasted 3 minutes. Finally, the subjects wore the balance device for stepping and walking training, with each set of movements lasting 5 minutes
the session ended with 5 minutes of stretching exercises.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age between 18-25 years old; 2. At least one acute ankle sprain within 12 months prior to the screening, with the sprain involving lateral ligament injury accompanied by pain, swelling, and immobilization for at least one day; 3. The injured ankle shows a sensation of "instability," where instability refers to an uncontrollable and unpredictable inversion of the ankle upon initial foot contact during walking or exercise, without causing an acute ankle sprain; 4. Within 6 months prior to screening, there have been at least two episodes of ankle instability in the injured ankle, or a fear of recurrent acute sprains during exercise; 5. CAIT score: <=24; 6. Negative talar tilt test and anterior drawer test.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of lower limb surgery, fractures, and musculoskeletal injuries caused by other diseases; 2. Participation in systematic exercise training other than this experiment before the start of the experiment; 3. Other clinical diseases affecting the experiment, such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease.
