18 Years to 85 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosed as a T2DM patient based on ICD10 encoding E11.900; 2. Age >= 18 years old; 3. The patient was treated with GLP-1RA or DPP-4i for more than 12 months from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2024; 4. The patient has a history of CVD or cardiovascular risk factors before initiating treatment with GLP-1RA or DPP-4i.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnancy or type 1 diabetes HIV; 2. The patient experienced acute cardiovascular events three months before starting treatment with GLP-1RA or DPP-4i, including cerebrovascular disease (cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral infarction, subarachnoid hemorrhage, transient ischemic attack); New or recurrent non fatal coronary artery disease (myocardial infarction, unstable angina); Arteriosclerotic diseases that require hospitalization (aneurysms, arterial dissections, arterial occlusive disease).
