Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for the sleep disorder group: 1.Age range: 18-60 years old. 2. Patients with chronic sleep disorders: experiencing insomnia for =3 months, taking hypnotics =4 times per week 3. No definite cranial or brain disease. 4.No obvious anxiety or depression. Agree to participate and sign the informed consent form. Inclusion criteria for the healthy control group 1.Age range: 18-60 years old. 2. After detailed medical history inquiry or polysomnography (PSG) monitoring, no symptoms related to sleep disorders were confirmed. 3. No history of major physical or mental illnesses. 4. Be able to understand and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for the sleep disorder patient group: 1. Suffering from severe systemic diseases such as liver and kidney dysfunction, and heart and lung failure 2. Suffering from other diseases that seriously affect skeletal muscles; 3. Suffering from severe mental illness; 4. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Exclusion criteria for healthy control group 1. Have symptoms or past history related to sleep disorders. 2. Suffering from other diseases that may affect skeletal muscle function. 3. Have used drugs that may affect skeletal muscle metabolism or function within the past 3 months. 4. Having severe psychological issues or excessive mental stress.
