Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. All are patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia. 2. According to the International Prostate Symptom Score, patients with moderate to severe BPH are evaluated. Patients with an IPSS score of 8-19 points have moderate BPH, and those with a score of 20-35 points have severe BPH. 3. They have surgical indications and all undergo HoLEP (holmium laser enucleation of the prostate) treatment on an elective basis. 4. They have no history of neurogenic bladder or overactive bladder. 5. There is no obvious concurrent organic diseases. 6. After preoperative anti-infection treatment, the white blood cells in the routine urine examination are negative. 7. They have normal communication abilities and are able to answer questions independently. 8. Their medical records are complete, and the follow-up data are also complete.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Those with end-stage renal disease. 2. Those with concurrent urinary tract infections, cystitis, or ureteral lesions. 3. Those with other major diseases, such as severe cardio-pulmonary functional lesions, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, etc. 4. Those with concurrent spinal cord injury or multiple sclerosis. 5. Those with mental illnesses who are unable to cooperate with postoperative follow-ups. 6. Those who may have Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) caused by other diseases (such as bladder tumors, bladder neck contracture, urethral stricture, etc.).
