Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Inclusion Criteria for the FTD Group: (1) Both biological parents are Han Chinese; (2) Right-handed; (3) Age 18-60 years, no gender restriction; (4) Meets the clinical diagnostic criteria for schizophrenia according to DSM-5; (5) Thought, Language, and Communication scale (TLC) score > 0; (6) Obtain the patient’s written informed consent; if the patient is incapable of providing consent during the illness, written informed consent must be obtained from their legal guardian. 2. Inclusion Criteria for the HC Group: (1) Both biological parents are Han Chinese; (2) Age 16-60 years, no gender restriction; (3) Previously mentally stable and currently does not meet the clinical diagnostic criteria for any DSM-5 entry; (4) Has not received antipsychotic treatment; (5) Obtain their written informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Exclusion criteria for the FTD group: (1) Individuals meeting DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for schizoaffective disorder, mood disorders, developmental delay, pervasive developmental disorder, delirium, dementia, memory disorder, or other cognitive disorders; (2) Patients with severe and unstable physical illnesses (e.g., heart disease); (3) Narrow-angle glaucoma; (4) Individuals with a history of epilepsy, except for febrile seizures; (5) Patients meeting DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for substance dependence; (6) Those who have or have had neuroleptic malignant syndrome; (7) Individuals unable to take medication as prescribed or without a caregiver; (8) Pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those planning pregnancy; (9) Those with contraindications for MRI scanning. 2. Exclusion criteria for the HC group: (1) Individuals meeting DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, mood disorders, developmental delay, pervasive developmental disorder, delirium, dementia, memory disorder, or other cognitive disorders; (2) Patients with severe and unstable physical illnesses (e.g., heart disease); (3) Narrow-angle glaucoma; (4) Individuals with a history of epilepsy, except for febrile seizures; (5) Patients meeting DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for substance dependence; (6) Those who have or have had neuroleptic malignant syndrome; (7) Individuals unable to take medication as prescribed or without a caregiver; (8) Pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those planning pregnancy; (9) Those with contraindications for MRI scanning.
