Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All UC patients were invited to participate, regardless of the severity of their clinical disease.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria are pregnancy, confirmed infectious gastroenteritis, history of colon resection, and upcoming colon resection.
