Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: RSV Patient Group: 1.Patients with a confirmed diagnosis of respiratory syncytial virus infection (RSV-positive); 2.Age < 5 years; 3.Both male and female participants are eligible. Non-RSV Infection Control Group: 1. People who are not infected with RSV and other respiratory diseases; 2.Age < 5 years; 3.Both male and female participants are eligible.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Use of antibiotics, corticosteroids, traditional Chinese medicine (including oral, intramuscular, or intravenous administration), or probiotics within one month prior to sample collection. 2.Presence of immunodeficiency, congenital heart disease, congenital or developmental abnormalities of the airway or lungs, sepsis, tumors, leukemia, diarrhea, diabetes, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, or other serious comorbidities. 3.History of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or surgery.
