Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosed with stage 5 chronic kidney disease and requires renal replacement therapy; 2. Through preoperative evaluation, the patient chose PD and underwent the first PD catheter insertion; 3. Peritoneal dialysis duration >= 3 months; 4. Complete clinical data.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with extensive abdominal wall infection or extensive intra-abdominal adhesions found during surgery; 2. Patients with preoperative abdominal wall defects that are difficult to correct, such as hernias; 3. Patients with mental disorders or multiple factors that prevent normal communication; 4. Patients who underwent temporary hemodialysis (excluding those on combined peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis) or kidney transplantation during the period; 5. Follow-up time less than 3 months; 6. Patients who have recovered kidney function.
