Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Age 6–14 years; 2.Basic-type intermittent exotropia (IXT) meeting ALL of the following: a. Intermittent or constant exotropia at distance fixation and IXT or exophoria at near. b. Distance deviation >= 10 prism dioptres on alternating-prism cover test. c. Similar magnitude of distance and near deviations (difference = +0.50 D in both eyes. c. SE =2 hours per day for at least the past 6 months. 5.Ocular examination: normal anterior segment and fundus in both eyes.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Any severe systemic or neuro-developmental disorder, or significant cognitive impairment, that compromises the child’s ability to understand, cooperate with, or complete the study protocol. 2.Previous history of intra-ocular surgery; 3.Use of low-concentration atropine or red-light therapy within the past 6 months.
