Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 18 years old; 2. Signed the informed consent form; 3. Patients with acute respiratory failure admitted to the ICU (defined as PaO2/FIO2 = 300);

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant and lactating women; 2. Age < 18 years old; 3. Having contraindications to EIT monitoring; 4. Having a history of severe or uncontrolled asthma; 5. Patients with congestive heart failure (NYHA Class III-IV);
