Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Typical clinical symptoms, such as numbness, pain, and nocturnal awakening in the median innervated area; 2. Typical Tinel's sign (+) and Phalen's sign (+) at the carpal tunnel; 3. Prolonged latency of median nerve compound muscle action potential (CMAP), reduced nerve conduction velocity and reduced amplitude of sensory nerve action potential (SNAP); 4. Ultrasound findings of the median nerve showed blood flow signals, thickening of the outer nerve membrane, echogenic changes, and a horizontal cross sectio SA (cross sectio SA) of pea bone of >14 mm^2; 5. Voluntary participation in the postoperative follow-up and signing the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Diseases with secondary etiology such as bony abnormalities of the carpal joints and joint deformities; 2. Diseases causing peripheral neuropathy, such as diabetes mellitus, cervical spondylosis, and hypothyroidism; 3. Pathologic changes, such as wrist swelling, gout stones, rheumatoid synovitis, etc; 4. Brachial plexus injury, wrist trauma, and a history of steroid hormone injections in the wrist; 5. Severe heart, brain, liver and kidney disease; 6. Bleeding disorders and abnormal coagulation function.
