Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Age > 18 years. 2.Clinical diagnosis of primary HCC, or a history of recurrent HCC following curative resection, with confirmation by pathological examination. 3.Underwent liver transplantation at any participating center between 2016 and 2023, with complete and available perioperative clinical data, regardless of prior downstaging or bridging therapies. 4.Absence of extrahepatic metastasis, as well as tumor thrombus in the main portal vein or inferior vena cava. 5.Availability of postoperative follow-up data.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Age 2 cm). 3.Preoperative presence of tumor thrombus in the main portal vein or inferior vena cava. 4.HCC discovered incidentally on postoperative pathological examination. 5.No HCC identified on postoperative pathology, or a diagnosis of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, combined hepatocellular-cholangiocarcinoma, or other primary liver malignancies. 6.Patients undergoing liver transplantation for cirrhosis following prior curative resection of HCC, with no evidence of HCC recurrence documented by both imaging and pathological examinations. 7.Missing or unevaluable imaging data before or after downstaging therapy, or missing perioperative clinical data or postoperative follow-up data. 8.Death during surgery.
