Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Type 2 diabetes mellitus diagnosed and initiated on pharmacological therapy; 2.Completion of glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) and fasting blood glucose tests.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Presence of factors affecting HbA1c measurement. 2.Patients with severe cardiac disease within the last 3 months: congestive heart failure at New York Heart Association (NYHA) Class IV; 3.Clinically significant hepatobiliary disease: ALT or AST > 3 times the upper limit of normal, or total bilirubin > 34.2 µmol/L (>2 mg/dL). 4.Severe renal impairment or end-stage renal disease (ESRD)(eGFR <45mL/min/1.73 m^2); 5.Patients with severe infections, major trauma, or other stress-related conditions during the last 3 months. 6. Patients with a history of malignant tumors in the past 3 years; 7.Pregnant or lactating patients.
