Hip Protector Use in Older Adults

Interventions

Intervention group:The participants in the intervention group will ware the 3D-printed hip protectors for 12 month.
Control group:The participants in the control group will ware the conventional hip protectors for 12 month.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals will be included if they meet the following criteria: 1. Age >=65 years and residing in a care home; 2. Not bedridden or confined to a wheelchair; 3. Able to express basic needs (e.g., comfort or discomfort). All eligible participants will be asked to provide informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Older adults will be excluded if they: 1. are physically disabled; 2. have skin issues (e.g., infection, ulcer); or 3. have agitated behavior. The functional status of participants will be confirmed through health records.
