Conditions

Type 1 myotonic dystrophy, characterized by muscle atrophy, weakness and muscle rigidity

Interventions

Group DM1:Complete 12 weeks of training + pre - and post-paired assessment
Healthy control group:Only participate in baseline assessment (limb function /MR/ blood fluid), and no training intervention is provided

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for DM1 patients: 1. Through molecular genetic testing; 2. A diagnosis of DM1 confirmed in the subject or first-degree relatives; 3. Ensure that all patients or their guardians sign a written informed consent form, agreeing to use their information for clinical research purposes; 4. All subjects were required to undergo no more than 2 hours of aerobic training per week and avoid any other exercise during the study period. Inclusion criteria for the healthy volunteer group: Age/gender matching to DM1 group (+/-5 years old). 2. No history of neuromuscular diseases, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular abnormalities or chronic diseases (such as diabetes, hypertension). 3.BMI <25 kg/m ²^2(excluding obesity). 4. Sign the informed consent form and agree to the baseline assessment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for DM1 patients: smoking, obesity (BMI>34.9 kg/m^2), diabetes, cardiovascular or respiratory diseases (except for mild restrictive ventilation deficits), other genetic diseases, active skeletal muscle injury, or any other complications that prevent them from performing any exercise. Exclusion criteria for the healthy volunteer group: 1. Smoking history. 2. Obesity (BMI>24.9 kg/m^2). 3. Any known genetic diseases, active skeletal muscle injuries or complications that affect movement. 4. Have received regular exercise training (more than 2 hours per week) within the past 6 months.
