Interventions

Group A (every 6 months):Group A (intensive follow-up) included patients who underwent CT follow-up every 6 ± 3 months during the first 2 years after surgery or at intervals of less than 3 months.
Group B (every 12 months):Group B (annual follow-up) included patients who underwent CT follow-ups every 12 ± 3 months or those who had 2 or fewer scans within the first 2 years after surgery.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Each patient had only one pulmonary nodule considered malignant prior to surgery; 2. The pulmonary nodule contained ground-glass opacity components; 3. Histological examination confirmed the presence of pulmonary adenocarcinoma.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with a history of concurrent malignant disease or other previous primary cancers were excluded from the study.
