18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 18–75 years with hypertension defined as: office SBP >= 140 mmHg and/or DBP >= 90 mmHg on at least three separate occasions off antihypertensive drugs, OR previously diagnosed hypertension currently on antihypertensive treatment. 2. Good general condition; no clinically significant heart, lung, kidney, liver dysfunction or metabolic disease. 3. No antibiotics, other microbiota-targeting drugs or probiotic products within 3 months before enrolment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Fail to meet any inclusion criterion. 2. Severe active viral or bacterial infection not adequately controlled. 3. Any severe or chronic disorder that, in the investigator’s opinion, could interfere with treatment, follow-up or assessment (e.g., uncontrolled neurological/psychiatric disease, immunological disorders, metabolic diseases, infectious diseases). 4. Judged by the attending clinician as unsuitable for probiotic adjunctive therapy.
