Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Age: 65–80 years old. 2. Able to independently perform sit-to-stand transitions and transfers. 3.Capable of understanding instructions and completing assessments. 4. No use of musculoskeletal or neurological medications in the past six months. 5.Participants with sarcopenia recruited based on the diagnostic criteria outlined in the Chinese Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Sarcopenia (2024 Edition), including:Skeletal Muscle Mass: Low muscle mass defined as Appendicular Skeletal Muscle Index (ASMI) =12 seconds.Calf Circumference: Low calf circumference defined as <34 cm for males and <33 cm for females.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Presence of severe cardiovascular, endocrine, respiratory, neurological, or vascular diseases, or advanced cancer, tumors, or other serious illnesses. 2.Diagnosed with psychiatric disorders, cognitive impairments, physical disabilities, or abnormal physical conditions persisting for nearly three months due to injury, surgery, or limb-related issues. 3. Impaired postural control due to vestibular disorders (e.g., vestibular neuritis), visual impairments (e.g., glaucoma, macular degeneration), or central vestibular lesions. 4.Presence of artificial joints, cardiac pacemakers, or other metal implants. 5.The Simplified Mental Status Examination Scale uses education-based cutoff values: =17 for illiterate, =20 for primary school, and =24 for secondary school or above.
