Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Case group: 1. Age >=18 years old; 2. Fatty liver is indicated by abdominal color Doppler ultrasound or CT; 3. Patients diagnosed with MAFLD according to the "Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Metabolism-related (Non-Alcoholic) Fatty Liver Disease (2024 Edition)"; 4. Residents who have been residing in Xi 'an for a long time (more than one year); 5. I voluntarily participate in this research and agree to sign the informed consent form; 6. Be able to communicate normally with others and have good compliance at the same time; Control group: 1. The age is >=18 years old; 2. I voluntarily participate in this research and agree to sign the informed consent form; 3. Be able to communicate normally with others and have good compliance at the same time; 4. Those who meet the case exclusion criteria and have a history of fatty liver disease in the past are not included; 5. Matches were made based on the gender and age (+/-5 years old) of the cases, and those without imaging changes of fatty liver in the color Doppler ultrasound examination during the same period were selected; 6. No history of alcohol consumption or the amount of alcohol consumed converted to ethanol is less than 140g per week (less than 70g per week for women); 7. Have resided in Xi 'an for more than one year and be of Han ethnicity;
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Case group: 1.Liver diseases caused by other reasons, such as hepatitis B or C, drug-induced liver diseases, genetic diseases, alcoholic liver diseases, etc; 2. Those with other major diseases (such as malignant tumors, severe heart diseases, kidney diseases, etc.); 3. Pregnant and lactating women; 4. Suffering from mental disorders; 5. Failure to cooperate with the collection of investigation information; 6. Have taken tryptophan supplements/multivitamin supplements in the past year; 7. Excessive alcohol consumption (ethanol intake =140g/w for men and >70g/w for women); 8. Those with missing dietary data; 9. Those who have changed their living habits in the past two months, including dietary habits, drinking habits, smoking habits, exercise habits and sleep habits; 10. Those with a history of cardiovascular diseases and cancer; 11. Those with a history of MAFLD. Control group: 1. Pregnant or lactating women; 2. There are patients with other serious diseases; 3. Those who do not cooperate with information collection; 4. Have taken tryptophan supplements/multivitamin supplements in the past year.
