Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Meeting the 2019 WHO diagnostic criteria for prediabetes: impaired fasting glucose (venous plasma glucose =6.1 mmol/L, <7.0 mmol/L, and post-load glucose <7.8 mmol/L) and/or impaired glucose tolerance (venous plasma glucose <7.0 mmol/L, post-load glucose =7.8 mmol/L, <11.1 mmol/L). 2. Age 18–79 years. 3. Normal blood pressure (139–90/89–60 mmHg). 4. Body mass index BMI <30 kg/m². 5. Normal results in blood tests, lipid profile, liver and kidney function tests, and electrocardiogram. 6. No history of cardiovascular disease, rheumatic connective tissue disease, or severe liver/kidney dysfunction. 7. No history of acrocyanosis, no discomfort upon cold stimulation, and no occurrence of Raynaud’s phenomenon in any part of the body. 8. No history of taking medications that affect the cardiovascular system.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Suffering from hypertension, hyperthyroidism, arrhythmia, and other diseases. 2. Suffering from connective tissue diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, polymyositis, rheumatoid arthritis. 3. Having a history of blood diseases, severe infections, or other systemic diseases. 4. Having taken vasoconstrictor or vasodilator drugs within the past month. 5. Peripheral vascular disease with arterial occlusion and undetectable blood flow signals. 6. Unable to cooperate with the examination.
