Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients diagnosed with cataracts during perioperative evaluations through dry eye and cataract screenings. 2.Residents of Shenyang City diagnosed with age-related cataracts. 3.Participants who can complete the study's questionnaires and assessment scales (with cognitive capacity, clear understanding, and normal communication skills). 4. No significant lifestyle changes in the past six months (e.g., recent smoking cessation, alcohol withdrawal, or house relocation). 5. Voluntary participation in the study after informed consent and written agreement.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Having undergone intraocular surgery within the past 3 months. 2.Having had laser vision correction surgery for corneal deformities within the past year. 3. Having had eyelid surgery within the past 3 months. 4.Previous use of topical antibiotics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), or corticosteroids. 5.History of ocular conditions such as glaucoma, uveitis, corneal diseases, or nasolacrimal duct disorders. 6.Any prior ocular or systemic treatments that may interfere with dry eye disease management or affect diagnostic evaluations for dry eye conditions.
