Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: For schizophrenia and major depressive disorder groups: (1) Age between 18 and 65 years; (2) Meet ICD-10 diagnostic criteria (Schizophrenia: F20; Major Depressive Disorder: F32/F33), confirmed by Structured Clinical Interview for DSM (SCID); (3) Relatively stable clinical status and able to complete study procedures; (4) Have basic understanding and communication abilities, able to comprehend task instructions and complete experimental tasks; (5) Voluntarily participate in the study and sign informed consent. For healthy control group: (1) Age between 18 and 65 years; (2) No history of psychiatric disorders and no first-degree family history of psychiatric illness; (3) No serious physical diseases or neurological disorders; (4) Voluntarily participate in the study and sign informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Presence of serious physical diseases such as uncontrolled cardiovascular disease, epilepsy, malignant tumors, etc. (2) Visual or auditory impairment, corrected vision less than 0.8 (3) History of organic brain diseases such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, encephalitis, etc. (4) History of alcohol or other substance abuse or dependence within the past 6 months (5) Participation in other clinical studies within the past 3 months (6) Unable to complete study procedures due to severe cognitive impairment or acute symptom exacerbation
