Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 18–65 years; 2. BMI 18–30 kg/m^2; 3.ASA I–III; 4.Female patients scheduled for elective thyroidectomy under general anesthesia; 5.History of motion sickness or PONV; 6.No gastrointestinal disease; no prior gastrointestinal surgery except simple cholecystectomy; 7.Normal communication ability; 8. Voluntary participation and signed informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Allergy to esomeprazole; 2.Administration of antiemetics or analgesics within 24 hours prior to surgery; 3.Use of H2 receptor antagonists or PPIs; 4.Use of medications interacting with esomeprazole (e.g., phenytoin, diazepam, ketoconazole, itraconazole, warfarin/vitamin K antagonists, clopidogrel); 5.Use of antipsychotic drugs or corticosteroids; 6.History of heart failure or arrhythmia; uncontrolled hypertension; diabetes with poor glycemic control; hepatic or renal impairment; gastrointestinal motility disorders; vestibular disorders; 7. Pregnant or lactating women; 8.Unable to understand the Quality of Recovery-15 (QoR-15)/Visual Analogue Scale (VAS)
