Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. formal diagnosis of COPD; being in the stable phase of COPD; 2. no signs of laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR); 3. cognitive function capable of following clinician instructions on vocal assessment and voice therapy; 4. for female participants, not being pregnant; 5. adults (aged 18 or above).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.minors (aged below 18); 2.pregnant women; 3. not formally diagnosed with COPD; or not being in the stable phase of COPD; 4. signs of LPR; 5. mental or cognitive function abnormalities, incapable of following instructions on vocal assessment and voice therapy; 6.history of laryngeal or head and neck disease and surgery; or with severe heart diseases, neurological diseases, malignancies; 7.history of vocal training; 8.history of voice therapy.
