Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age range: >18 years old. Postoperative pathological diagnosis confirmed as malignant thyroid tumor 2. The tumor is confined to one thyroid lobe 3. The first surgery was performed at our hospital for unilateral thyroid lobe and isthmus resection 4. The patient voluntarily cooperated and was able to complete the follow-up.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. A history of previous neck surgery or thyroid radiofrequency ablation or radiation treatment. 2. Obvious hoarseness, limited high-pitched voice, or was indicated by preoperative laryngoscopy as vocal cord paralysis, collapse, or poor closure before the operation 3. A history of mental illness in the past or currently 4. The patient is uncooperative and the follow-up is missing. 5. The patient lacks the ability to make independent decisions.
