Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Newly diagnosed GD patients who have not received treatment Diagnostic criteria for GD: Presence of diffuse thyroid goiter, typical hypermetabolic symptoms and signs of hyperthyroidism, and meeting one of the following criteria: a. Exophthalmos and other infiltrative eye signs; b. Positive thyroid receptor antibody (TRAb); c. Elevated thyroid radioiodine uptake.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Age 75 years; 2. Pregnant or lactating women; 3. Severe active thyroid eye disease (CAS score >3); 4. Patients with recurrent GD; 5. Leukopenia (WBC 1.5 times the upper limit of normal; estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) < 60 mL/min/1.73m²); 7. Allergy to methimazole; 8. Inability to cooperate with treatment and follow-up due to physiological, cognitive, or psychological factors; 9. Failure to provide written informed consent.
