Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Time Frame: Patients who underwent PFNA or PFBN surgery for femoral trochanteric fracture at the Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University between October 2025 and October 2026. 2. Age Requirement: Aged >=50 years, regardless of gender. 3. Fracture Type: The fracture type is intertrochanteric or subtrochanteric femoral fracture, and it meets the surgical indications. 4. Completeness of Medical Records: Possessing complete medical records, including preoperative examinations, surgical records, and postoperative follow-up information. 5. Follow-up Duration: Follow-up period is not less than 12 months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Presence of Other Severe Diseases: Patients with other severe diseases that may affect the assessment of surgical outcomes or the patient's survival, such as heart or lung failure, malignant tumors, etc. 2. Existing Lower Limb Functional Impairment: Patients who already have other lower limb functional impairments before surgery, such as severe knee arthritis, hip arthritis, etc. 3. Multiple Fractures or Polytrauma: Patients with fractures in other parts of the body or polytrauma that may interfere with the judgment of the treatment effect of femoral trochanteric fracture. 4. Refusal to Participate by Patient or Family: Patients or their families refuse to participate in this study. 5. Significant Deficiencies in Medical Records: Medical records are significantly deficient, making it impossible to accurately obtain key information.
