Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 18-40 years; 2. a mandibular obstructed third molar (proximal mesial and horizontal osseous obstruction) with a close relationship between the root and the mandibular neural tube as shown by CBCT in the clinic; 3. the patient signed an informed consent form for the use of the medical records for non-commercial clinical and teaching research and academic exchange; 4. and has been treated with a navigationally guided crown resection.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Factors affecting the positioning of the navigational alignment and retention devices, such as significant crowding, loose teeth, moderate to severe periodontitis, significant impaction, orthodontic appliances; and 2. Systemic diseases that do not tolerate routine outpatient extractions. 3. Localised lesions in the operative area, such as periapical lesions and cystic lesions, which need to be extracted and treated at the same time as other lesions; and 4. Factors affecting the healing and prognosis of the extracted tooth, such as the presence of teeth or foci in the maxillofacial region that are obviously susceptible to pain and swelling, long-term use of medications affecting bone regeneration, such as corticosteroids and bisphosphonates, and a history of radiotherapy to the head and neck region. 5. Cognitive impairment, inability to understand and co-operate with the study.
