Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Age: Pediatric patients aged 8-18 years; (2) Meeting diagnostic criteria for Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia; (3) Illness duration 38°C) and cough; (5) No prior treatment with azithromycin, doxycycline, or other anti-infective therapies for Mycoplasma pneumoniae, and no corticosteroid therapy before admission; (6) Patients and their guardians consent to participate in the study and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients allergic to azithromycin or doxycycline; (2) Patients who have received azithromycin or doxycycline treatment within the recent two weeks; (3) Confirmed infection with other pathogens; (4) Unstable vital signs requiring interventions such as ventilatory support; (5) Coexisting severe underlying diseases (e.g., congenital heart disease, renal insufficiency, or immunodeficiency); (6) Children presenting with neutropenia (neutrophils 3 times the upper limit of normal).
