Observation group:The catheter tip position is determined as: the distance (cm) to withdraw outward after the P wave reaches its highest amplitude in the catheter placement position = 0~0.5 cm.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >=18 years; 2. Patients who need to have a PICC catheter inserted for treatment; 3. Pre-insertion electrocardiogram shows identifiable P waves; 4. Patients who cannot tolerate the supine position due to reasons such as breathing difficulties; 5. Patients have given informed consent and voluntarily participated in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with heart diseases such as valvular heart disease, atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, pulmonary heart disease, or those who have received cardiac pacemaker implantation or undergone cardiac surgery, as these conditions may affect the changes in the P wave; 2. Patients with failed puncture due to various reasons; 3. Patients with mental abnormalities or those who are uncooperative. All patients signed the informed consent form for PICC catheterization.
