Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University from January 2022 to December 2023. Acute coronary syndrome includes ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI), and unstable angina (UA). The primary diagnostic criteria are as follows: 1. Symptom Assessment: Symptoms of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) include chest pain and chest tightness, which may be accompanied by cardiogenic shock or severe arrhythmias. 2. Electrocardiogram (ECG) Examination: A 12-lead ECG is performed at initial evaluation to rapidly differentiate between ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and non-ST-elevation ACS (NSTE-ACS), the latter encompassing NSTEMI and UA. 3. Biomarker Testing: High-sensitivity cardiac troponin (hs-cTn) is a key biomarker for diagnosing myocardial injury. According to the latest guidelines, all patients suspected of ACS should undergo hs-cTn testing. A 0-hour/1-hour or 0-hour/2-hour testing strategy is employed to monitor changes in hs-cTn levels. If hs-cTn exceeds the 99th percentile of the reference value for healthy individuals, acute myocardial infarction—either STEMI or NSTEMI—is diagnosed.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with incomplete medical records or medical orders information; 2.Patients with missing data on platelet counts and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels; 3.Patients who do not consent to participate in this study.
