Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >=16 years; 2. Diagnosed with patent foramen ovale (PFO) via transesophageal echocardiography (TEE); 3. Meets the indications for percutaneous PFO closure according to current clinical guidelines; 4. Has the ability and willingness to complete the planned follow-up protocol.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Presence of other structural heart diseases, such as hypertension, cardiomyopathy, or valvular disease; 2. Abnormal ventricular cavity size or myocardial wall thickness; 3. Functional heart diseases, such as heart failure; 4. Any type of arrhythmia; 5. Systemic comorbidities, including diabetes, dyslipidemia, hyperthyroidism, or anemia; 6. Inability to complete follow-up or provide complete baseline data.
