Subthreshold depression

Interventions

Aerobic exercise group:The aerobic exercise group participated in a two-week, laboratory-based stationary bicycle exercise program, with an intervention frequency of six to seven sessions per week. Ea
Sitting control group:The sitting control group participated underwent a two-week laboratory-based seated intervention at a frequency of 6–7 sessions per week, with each session lasting 30 min.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age: 18-28 years old, female (Due to insufficient male samples, this study is temporarily limited to females); 2. The BDI-II score ranged from 14 to 29 points (subthreshold depression range), and the retest results were stable after an interval of two weeks. 3. Right-handed, normal color vision, no history of mental illness or contraindications to exercise.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Current or past MDD or other serious mental disorders (such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia); 2. Limb trauma or musculoskeletal disorders within the last three months; 3. History of alcohol or drug dependence.
