18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients with pathologically confirmed primary gastric adenocarcinoma or esophagogastric junction adenocarcinoma (Siewert type II/III) at West China Hospital of Sichuan University between 2010 and 2020*; (2) Aged 18–80 years; (3) No prior neoadjuvant chemotherapy or radiotherapy; (4) Underwent surgical resection with lymphadenectomy; (5) Presence of a single tumor lesion; (6) No distant metastasis (M0); (7) No history of other malignant diseases. *Diagnosis of esophagogastric junction adenocarcinoma (Siewert type II/III) was determined based on preoperative gastroscopy, upper gastrointestinal barium meal study, and intraoperative specimen evaluation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Incomplete clinical or pathological data; (2) Gastric stump carcinoma; (3) Death during hospitalization or within 30 days after surgery; (4) Death from non-neoplastic causes; (5) Patients who underwent only exploratory laparotomy/laparoscopy, palliative resection, or bypass procedures.
