Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification I–III; 2. age>= 65 years; 3. scheduled for elective orthopedic lower limb Surgery.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Preoperative malnutrition (Mini Nutritional Assessment, MNA score =7 days or dependence on parenteral nutrition; 5. Anticipated postoperative transfer to the ICU; 6. Presence of severe dementia or other significant cognitive impairment preventing communication or understanding of assessment scales; 7. Need for a second surgery within a short time frame; 8. Refusal to provide informed consent or inability to comply with the study protocol.
