Interventions

Group A:Participants received anodal transcranial direct current stimulation (a-tDCS) combined with Integrated Neuromuscular Training (INMT). During the intervention, cortical anodal stimulation was a
B Group:Participants received Integrated Neuromuscular Training (INMT) only. No brain stimulation was applied
the intervention consisted solely of structured neuromuscular training to enhance ankle function and motor control.

18 Years to 35 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. self-reported diagnosis of CAI; 2. a score of >= 11 on the Identification of Functional Ankle Instability; 3. a history of at least one significant ankle sprain with persistent symptoms of instability lasting over six months; 4. ability to complete all study-related assessments and interventions.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. diagnosed neurological disorders or balance impairments; acute ankle injury or recovery from ankle surgery within the past six months; 2. implanted metallic or electronic medical devices such as pacemakers; 3. history of epilepsy or other contraindications for a-tDCS; 4. current engagement in other structured rehabilitation programs; 5. prior exposure to electrical stimulation interventions.
