Lower limb muscle function

Interventions

Slow Eccentric Group:A 6-week complex training program, performed twice per week. Squat tempo is 5-0-X-0 (5-second slow eccentric). Training content includes: 1) back squat at 80% 1RM, 3×3
2) hurdle jumps, 3×5
3) loaded squat jumps at 30% 1RM, 3×4
4) 15-m sprint, 3×1. Each session lasts about 60 minutes.
Lsometric Group:A 6-week complex training program, performed twice per week. Squat tempo is 0-5-X-0 (5-second isometric hold at the bottom). Training content is the same as other groups.
Accelerated Eccentric Group:A 6-week complex training program, performed twice per week. Squat tempo is 1-0-X-0 (1-second accelerated eccentric). Training content is the same as other groups.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. aged 18–30 years, physically healthy, with no history of lower-limb injuries; 2.having at least 2 years of resistance training experience, with a minimum of 3 moderate-to-high intensity sessions per week; 3.barbell back squat 1RM no less than 1.5 times body mass to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the intervention.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.recent (within 3 months) severe lower-limb musculoskeletal injuries or incomplete recovery; 2.history of cardiovascular, respiratory, or neurological/metabolic diseases (e.g., diabetes, hypertension); 3.currently taking medications that may affect neuromuscular function or exercise performance; 4.concurrent participation in other training programs that may interfere with the study outcomes; 5. inability to complete the study protocol due to academic, training, or other objective reasons.
