Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes according to World Health Organization (WHO, 2020) standards, and a Bai ethnicity patient who has lived in Yunnan for at least one year; 2. Age 40-65 years, with a type 2 diabetes diagnosis for more than 6 months; 3. Able to use the WeChat application independently or with assistance; 4. Possesses full self-awareness and behavioral capacity, and provides informed consent; 5. Has not previously participated in a type 2 diabetes self-management program.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Gestational diabetes; 2. Vision impairment caused by complications, limited physical activity due to severe complications or other reasons, and inability to care for oneself.
