Interventions

High-intensity interval training (HIIT):The training program includes a combination of weight and free weight exercises, using 40%-75% of 1RM for resistance control. The training plan includes squats,
Velocity-Based Training (VBT) :A combination of weighted and free-weight exercises, with resistance controlled in the range of 30%-80% of 1RM, and all resistance exercises performed using free weights
Control group :Traditional physical training methods for table tennis

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Male; 2. Aged 14–18 years; 3. Residing in Gansu Province, holding medical insurance, and having no or limited prior experience with HIIT and VBT training; 4.To ensure group homogeneity, participants were classified as either athletes with grade certificates (50%) or those without (50%), and height and weight differences were limited to less than 5%.
